THE INTERNATIONAL ORCHESTRA

This orchestra is ideally suited for your special celebration or corporate festival.  A great selection of Motown, rhythm & blues, swing, disco and pop makes for an exciting dance party. A wide variety of Latin dance music, salsa, merengue, cumbia, cha-cha, bachata and boleros brings a tropical taste to your event.

José Valdes, director of the group, has worked with many world class artists such as Tito Puente, Lou Rawls, Armando Manzanero, Jose Fajardo, and Paquito D’ Rivera. His group was featured at the Governor's Inaugural in Springfield, Illinois.

The band performs in the Chicago area at various public, private and corporate events such as Taste of Chicago, Grant Park Summerdance, and Millenium Park. Other venues are the Field Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Chicago Historical Society, as well as the Hyatt Regency and Peninsula Hotels. 

Sonia Perez, Joe Gonzalez, Lina Marie and Peter Hix are featured vocalists. Joe Gonzalez doubles on lead vocal and percussion. He has sung with some of the top bands of Puerto Rico. Peter Hix doubles on guitar as well. The repertoire includes Natalie Cole, Shania Twain, Gloria Estefan, Selena, Dixie Chicks, and many other current artists. Also included are numbers from Sinatra, Van Morrison, as well as newer material from Ricky Martin and Santana.
