TRIO LATINO

As the name implies, this trio performs music from all of Latin America, both instrumentally and vocally. Diverse styles from the Caribbean to Mexico to Central and South America are all represented in the repertoire. In 2003 José and the trio were selected as the only professional musical group to perform during the governor's inauguration in Springfield, Illinois. also in 2003, José Valdes was one of only ten Chicago pianists chosen to perform at symphony center as part of "Marshall Field Days of Music". His trio currently features an assortment of percussionists and instrumentalists who have worked with Tito Nieves, Frankie Ruiz, Monty Alexander, and other eminent artists.
